Pumpkin Picking
Posted by Mary CurranThe Unquowa School garden has been buzzing with activity this fall. PreK-4 students harvested yellow, green and purple beans for the dining room, smelled lavender by gently rubbing the leaves and sampled sweet sungold tomatoes right off the vine. Their final stop was a vine covered tepee. Hidden amongst morning glories and cardinal flowers were “jack be little” pumpkins. PreK-4 students were thrilled to go inside and find their very own miniature pumpkin to pick!
