Weather in Third Grade
Posted by Carlene GordonWhat’s the weather? Ask a third grader! In science class we have been reading, researching and conducting experiments to learn more about the weather. Students first discovered that air takes up space and has pressure. We then researched large air masses over Earth and learned how and why they affect our weather. Students are currently learning about the instruments that meteorologists use to measure the weather, including anemometers, thermometers and barometers. In class, students created their own thermometers and used them to record changes in temperature in Unquowa School.
