Grades 7/8 Humanities - Andy Sarkany, Holocaust Survivor Guest Speaker 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM view detailshide details Holocaust survivor, Endre (Andy) Sarkany, will be speaking with 7th and 8th grade Humanities students. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Sarkany has been speaking to students about his personal experiences during the Holocaust, living under the brutality of the Soviet regime in Hungary, and finding a home in the United States. This program is being offered to Humanities students in Grades 7 and 8, along with their parents. APR30 | Life Worth Living 8th Grade Workshop 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM view detailshide details 8th graders are embarking on a multi-part ethics series inspired by the Life Worth Living program. On 2/5, 3/26, and 4/30, Dr. Matthew Croasmun, co-author of Life Worth Living: A Guide to What Matters Most, and Director of the Life Worth Living (LWL) Program at the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, in collaboration with 8th grade advisors, Eric Snow and Ariel Warshaw, will join us for morning workshops that explore what it means to live a purposeful and meaningful life. |
