Upper School Chorus Performs “One Short Day”
Posted by Megan KirkWhen the school year started I knew it would only be a matter of time before we had our first big performance on our new amazing stage, and the chorus and I wanted it to be special. One of my favorite shows is Wicked, and while listening to the song One Short Day on the way into school one morning I had the idea that it could be a perfect song for this performance. When I met with the 6th-8th grade chorus that day I could not wait to tell them the idea. But of course we needed to change the song around to fit the Unquowa School, so we put on our lyric-writing hats and began brainstorming. The students and I discussed and attempted many different versions of our adaptation of One Short Day until it felt just right for what we wanted to say to the audience. Here is a clip from that performance.
