Landforms
Posted by Carlene GordonAs a culminating activity to our study of landforms, third graders headed to the makerspace to design and create their own fictitious continent and landforms. As a class, first we planned and sketched our design. Then we broke into groups, each taking a section of our design to create using wood, chicken wire and paper mache. With the guidance of Mr. Bartels, students followed their design to create mountains, volcanoes, canyons, valleys, plains and plateaus. After some drying time, students painted their designs and pulled them all together to create of continent of landforms which they named Landformania!
