A Green Light for Phase 2 This Summer!
Posted by Kate Haviland
It’s official…the renovation of the Upper School science lab and one of the fifth grade classrooms will happen this summer!
By significantly increasing the physical space in these two classroom areas, these renovations will give the fifth grade and science teachers the opportunity to expand their academic and extra curricular activities for Unquowa’s students.
Demolition will begin soon after our Closing Ceremonies and Commencement in early June and is scheduled to be completed by mid-August. Photos of the project will be posted here over the summer so that everyone can watch the progress.
How exciting to have two consecutive summers of major improvements to our small campus – last summer the roof was replaced and a new playing field was installed, and this summer these academic spaces will be renovated.
None of this would be possible without the generous support of the many families, alumni and foundations whose commitments to The Campaign for Unquowa made these exciting projects a reality. Thank you!
A very special “thank you” goes to Joan and Steve Panagos whose leadership gift early in the campaign will allow them to name the newly renovated science lab. Joan serves as the Chair of The Campaign for Unquowa and her wonderful energy, humor, wisdom and tireless effort are helping to strengthen the school for all our children.
