Acting it out!
Posted by Megan KirkToday in 4th grade students made their own short skits based on familiar stories. Students only had five minutes in their groups to come up with their stories and a basic plan for their skits. Then they had to show these to the class. We call this planned improv. The students have a basic idea of what they want to happen but have to work together while performing. They make up most of the action and dialogue on the spot! It was great fun and students learned how working together is extremely important in drama!
