Pre-Reading Patterning Exercise
Posted by Janice ShannonEach week we have a theme for our classes, and on the last day of the week students make a pattern of their choice (AB, AABB, etc.) using that theme. They take the pattern home on Fridays to put on a wall and read every night before bed. They point, read, and advance from beginning to end of the strip preparing them for reading left to right. It has become a favorite of this year’s class and they are so proud when they achieve their reading strip. Play the short video below to see how proud a three-year-old can get!!
