Mission Possible: 7th Graders vs. the Cuban Missile Crisis
Posted by Ariel WarshawTo cap off our study of the Cuban Missile Crisis, 7th grade Humanities students — errrr, CIA All Source Analysts — enjoyed a virtual field experience with the International Spy Museum! They each received their mission briefs, and used their keen analytic and observation skills to pore over reconnaissance photos and classified testimony from informants. Our agents used the intel they gained from these sources to advise President Kennedy on how to proceed during those 13 stressful days in October 1962. They asked amazing questions, made smart inferences, and ultimately guided the Kennedy Administration away from nuclear catastrophe — great job, 7th graders!
