Lampshade Designers!
Posted by Joey CaseyFirst grade has been busy building things in Makerspace this fall. They have been having a lot of fun working with hot glue guns all by themselves and seeing how resilient and independent they really are. The class learned about lamps and different parts of a lamp. Each student made popsicle stick lampshades and helped to design some laser cut parts to connect the socket and shade, as well as a rod connected to a wooden base. Students used hot glue for the lampshade, zip ties to hold the cord up, and markers to decorate the lamps. They were so proud and excited about their creations!
