Current Events in History Class!
Posted by Iman RastiWhat is happening around us in the world? Why should we bother knowing what is going on across the globe? How does knowing that help us become better critical thinkers and more efficient problem solvers? These and many more questions were raised and answered last week in our first Current Events session of our sixth grade history class. The sixth graders discussed a wide variety of global and local topics, ranging from the crisis in Ukraine to carmakers offering iPhone platforms. Our students contributed meaningfully and actively to the discussion of these topics and profoundly explored their significance in our everyday lives. We look forward to seeing the sixth graders sharing their thoughts and building on their critical thinking skills through discussing the current events next time!
