Fourth graders strengthened their knowledge of verbs using an illustrated cards game. This game had cards with a picture of an action along with the Spanish verb. It helped increase students’ vocabulary, verbal and reading skills. The game was very fun and exciting for the students. At first the game seemed pretty simple, but eventually students learned that there was a strategy to be had: working together as a team to complete the game. Students had to demonstrate correct spelling, agreement and pronunciation to have a successful turn. The more a word got repeated in the game, the more students grew in confidence and knowledge.
