First graders are typically full of excitement when they come into drama class! Their enthusiasm is always appreciated, however, during one particular class they entered so quietly that I couldn’t even hear them come down the hallway! We decided to keep the momentum going by doing a mirroring exercise. They were incredibly focused and determined. Drama class can be full of action and high energy at times, but we are also just as engaged when we do slower, calmer activities!
