Tonecraft
Posted by Megan KirkUpper Schoolers are using their Chromebooks to reinforce their knowledge of rhythm and beat. Tonecraft is an app that allows you to build rhythmic designs where each color block has a different sound, and depending on where you put it in the grid will alter that sound. The grid is made up of boxes that represent sixteenth notes and you can build up, out, forwards and backwards. Students are also becoming aware of how this can also become visual art as well as musical. It has been really interesting to see what different designs end up sounding like!
