Mindfulness in Music
Posted by Megan KirkIn music class today we talked about how music can create many different feelings and emotions inside of us. We listened to many different pieces of classical music and discussed how each piece created a different feeling inside of us. We also talked about how we could use music to help us when we are feeling upset or anxious. By playing a song that creates a happy feeling within us, or a calming feeling, we can help to change the way we are feeling. We ended class coloring a mandala while listening to a classical piano piece. Students chose colors and patterns based on the music and how it was making them feel in that moment.
