The Northeast Children’s Theatre Company came to Unquowa to put on the musical – “A Year With Frog and Toad.” Based on the children series by Arnold Lobel, a musical was created using those stories to take the audience through the four seasons of the year. Using only a piano and very minimal sets, the six actors made Frog and Toad come to life here at Unquowa. After the show, the 6-8 grade choral and drama students took a workshop with these professional actors. It was a great experience for these students since we will be putting on a musical of our own in the spring! Students learned about life as a professional actor and then participated in many activities to help enhance our unit on performing styles and musical theater. What a great morning!
