“Acting Out” in Sixth Grade Drama
Posted by Alyson CahillSixth graders are doing fantastic work in Drama so far! We recently covered what it means to be onstage: how to present ourselves with our bodies, how to identify the parts of a stage, and what stage directions are. We then dove right into vocal techniques for the theatre. Students did a great job learning and demonstrating the correct ways to breathe, project, and how to enunciate while speaking. They even wrote their own tongue twisters to use in our vocal warm-ups! We are currently learning about the art of Pantomime and how we can convey actions and emotions using only our body language. We’re off to a great start!
