Artist-in-Residence Program
Posted by Krissy PondenWe are so excited to have fiber artist, Carlos Bautista Bierrnay, work with our 7th and 8th graders as an artist-in-residence. Carlos is joining us for a six week program to introduce students to his incredible textile work and to help them create their own painted and quilted projects. Carlos was born in Chile and much of his work is informed by his experiences growing up under the Pinochet dictatorship. He will also be talking with students in their humanities classes in conjunction with their study of Chile.
