Celebrating La Revolución de Mayo with Sweet Traditions
Posted by Thomas IezinIn honor of La Revolución de Mayo, our Spanish students recently participated in a delicious and culturally rich experience—making traditional Latin American desserts known as alfajores. This hands-on activity gave students a chance to connect more deeply with Argentine culture while practicing their Spanish in a fun and memorable way.
With the guidance of Chef Adam, students learned how to prepare these delicate sandwich cookies, which are filled with rich, creamy dulce de leche—a beloved sweet spread popular throughout Latin America. From assembling the cookies to dipping them in chocolate, students worked together with enthusiasm, and lots of smiles.
