Chinese Calligraphy
Posted by kellyyehThe Fourth Graders have recently become very interested in writing Chinese calligraphy. Right before the winter break, students had their first try during culture class. Calligraphy is an art that will train your front arm muscle and your finger motor skills when using the special calligraphy brushes to write. The students practiced writing on special paper, so their pages wouldn’t get messy with ink and had to write in the proper stork order. They soon discovered that writing in calligraphy helped them to memorize the Chinese Characters.
