In the second grade, students started learning Chinese characters. In the beginning, students learned about the Oracle bone script (Chinese: 甲骨文; pinyin: jiǎgǔwén) and how the Oracle bone script became the Chinese characters that we use right now. We watched short videos of Chinese characters and then tried to draw the characters. After drawing we had fun using play-Doh to actually make the shape of Chinese characters.
