Climbing with Courage!
Posted by Lloyd MitchellSixth, seventh and eighth graders were treated to a Fall Social at the Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum. After a short bus ride over from school, students were given a safety talk and shown how to climb carefully. Students were able to explore different levels of climbing based on difficulty of the course and the height of the course. Some ventured to the higher level courses which spanned some 40-50 feet in the air. While that may seem high, our fearless climbers tackled the different courses with ease. It is a great opportunity to take a risk and it is so rewarding to see a big smile on a child’s face when they get to the end of the first obstacle and realize they can do it! Special thanks to the Unquowa Parents’ Association for sponsoring the annual Fall Social and giving our students the opportunity to climb with courage!
