“Creatures” in a Wetlands Ecosystem
Posted by Craig KnebelThe seventh grade began a “Living Things” unit in science by travelling to the Fairfield Audubon Center to study the organisms of a wetlands ecosystem. Our seventh grade creatures determined the health of streams by measuring the pH; dissolved oxygen and macrobiotic creatures of a swamp; stream and pond. Note that leeches are not just scary, their presence indicates polluted water as well.
