Do You Hear What I Hear?
Posted by Faith BarbutoThe kindergarten scientists took to the outdoor classroom to hone their listening skills. Before we left we made some predictions of things we might hear outside on the playground. We went out and listened intently, drawing pictures of things we were able to hear. Next, I asked the students to close their eyes and just focus on listening. After a few moments they drew what they were able to observe using just their sense of hearing. Most of us agreed that it is easier to hear with your eyes closed!
