What is the best trip that you have ever taken? Eighth graders recently elaborated on their answers to this question using the preterit (past) tense in a two minute chat to the class. Some students described family vacations to places like Florida and Europe, while others invented trips to the moon and the North Pole! Classmates enjoyed hearing about various trips and responding with questions and observations. For most students, this was a milestone: the last formal chat in Señora Brenna’s class. Hard to believe!
