Fall Social Fun!
Posted by Unquowa Parents AssociationFourth and fifth grade students celebrated the fall with their first UPA sponsored social of the 2014-2015 school year. It was rainy and cold outside, but students and teachers stayed warm and dry in the gym, hanging out with friends and showing off some hip-hop moves to the music of DJ Austin Dailey. With a bounty of snacks to keep them energized, everyone had a great time!
The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders enjoyed their fall social at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport. The students enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon as they began their adventure, learning how to put on harnesses and clipping onto the wires. The trees were soon filled with excited and adventurous students who had great fun zip lining and exploring many series of obstacles. Occasional sightings of Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Ponden were reported from the trees and everyone enjoyed both the generous snack table and fire pit, where it was rumored that more than one s’more was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to the social committees and volunteers for organizing both events for our students, we had fun!
