Finger Rhymes in PreK-4 Drama
Posted by Alyson CahillPreK-4 students are always using their bodies and imaginations to tell stories, some of which happen to rhyme! This past week we learned a simple story about a turtle. We used our hands to create the swimming turtle and paid attention to the poem’s rhyming and rhythmic patterns. By clapping our hands and making a “snap” with our fingers, the students were able to pretend to snap at a flying mosquito, a minnow in the water and even our own noses! We will learn a few more poems to act out before the school year is over!
