First Graders Explore Stepping Stones Children’s Museum
Posted by Maureen DialloThe first graders had a fantastic morning of exploration and fun! The class visited Stepping Stones Children’s Museum in Norwalk this past Friday. We explored each of the galleries including the Energy Lab where the class investigated the science of energy through water. The exhibit included water installations that showcased solar power, wind forces, and hydropower. Next the class moved on to the “Build It” gallery where learned about architectural design and construction. The class enjoyed visiting the “Healthyville” gallery also where they used their prior knowledge from our fall nutrition unit to pick and choose healthy meals, build models of skeletons and even exercise! The first graders had a blast exploring and learned a lot too!
