In fifth grade music class we are studying the different forms and variations of music. We have learned that Binary Form has an A section and a B section. Ternary form is an A section, then B, then A once again. We then used this knowledge to decode the form of the Theme from Star Wars. Once students had listened and labeled the parts, we came up with a physical way to show this understanding! We had separate movements for each part of the song, using a gigantic parachute!
