Fourth Grade Math Fun
Posted by Karen EngelkeFourth grade is a pivotal year for math. Students are expected to solidify their understanding of multi-digit addition and subtraction, often with regrouping (or “borrowing”). This is where playing cards become an excellent teaching tool. Utilizing a deck of playing cards, 4th graders learned how to play the game Gain and Loss. The object of the game was to practice their addition and subtraction facts. Card games offer a tactile and interactive experience.
