Third and Fourth Graders Visit the Garden
Posted by Mary CurranDuring the month of September, third and fourth graders used garden scavenger hunts to locate vegetables, flowers, and herbs in our garden. Purple haze carrots, Easter egg radishes, heirloom lettuces, and marigolds were some of the varieties they located. In addition, students planted some leafy greens for the Grow Lab – third graders planted arugula and fourth graders planted spinach. The students will be caring for their plants and recording observations in plant journals.
