Hey Guys It’s Snack Time!!! Aren’t You Done?
Posted by Craig KnebelIn an effort to help the sixth grade students understand why it is important to study the different properties of minerals, we used our lab time to study a mineral that everyone is familiar with – gold. The students learned what makes it such a valuable mineral and how to pan for gold. Many students found robust nuggets and flakes and they learned that the quest for gold can be more powerful than the stomach as they panned right through snack time.
