How Do You Move in Code?
Posted by Lloyd MitchellSeventh grade began a unit on programming and learning more about coding. Since this was a fairly new topic for the students, the discussion went in many different directions. In order to begin, students had to learn about pixels and screen display which lead us to understanding all about how information displays on a a screen. Students were fascinated to learn that most displays have over 2,000,000 tiny squares that make up the images they see. After some experimenting, we wrote some simple programs using an app for the iPad and very quickly, students were creating complex designs! Stay tuned for more as we dig deeper into the world of coding!
