Humanities Classroom Vision
Posted by Debbie LeidleinSixth, seventh and eighth grade students began the year by discussing and drafting a vision for our humanities class. As a group, students envisioned the ideal way to to approach the beginning of class, the end of class, and everything in between. They discussed how they would relate to each other when working in groups, and what it would look like when they were working independently. Students discussed how they would share ideas and how they will handle differences of opinion. This work invited students to take an active role in the creation of the classroom environment. Additionally, it provided an opportunity for students to set goals for themselves and for their classmates. Our collective efforts are currently displayed in the classroom as a reminder to us all.
