Jackson Pollock
Posted by Janice ShannonDid you know that Jackson Pollock created his masterpieces by throwing paint on a canvas laid on the floor of his barn? We worked hard to reproduce his technique on our own canvas, blank white t-shirts and a white frosted sheet cake (which tasted delicious). While we worked, we listened and danced to Jazz music, just like Pollock did. We also learned that he had some very bad habits that caused him to be quite sad throughout his life. To help us remember our lesson, we learned a funny song about Pollock, took our t-shirts home to show mom and dad and hung our canvas on the wall above the fish tank.
