Let it Snow!
Posted by Krissy PondenOn a mild winter morning sixth graders took advantage of the gorgeous blanket of snow on the school’s grounds to create ephemeral sculptures inspired by the work of environmental artist, Andy Goldsworthy. This was a continuation of our project from the fall when we used leaves, stones and grass to design gorgeous natural installations. Perhaps more challenging, but almost certainly more fun, the students crafted snowballs, a few snowmen, and even noticed the beauty of the paths their boots were making as they crisscrossed the field. Who needs a snow day when you can have this much fun at school!?
