Kindergarten students have been reading Huellas en la nieve to look at animals and their tracks in winter.
We have covered animal movement: salta (jump), corre (run), fuertes pasadas (strong steps), nada (swim) and the various animals associated with them: el conejo (rabbit), el venado (deer), el oso (bear) and el castor (beaver).
The kindergarteners made use of stamps and, under Mr. Egilman’s friendly guidance, made the conejo salta en la nieve. With some help from Mrs. DesGranges for the banner and from Mr. Ross-MacCormack for the conejo, we have put the huellas del conejo on display to brighten up the passageway to the first-grade/second-grade stairs.
