Mixed Media Weavings
Posted by lauradowlingFifth grade students have begun work on these very colorful mixed media weavings. The children began by painting using analogous colors plus white tempera on cardboard. Colors were blended and texture was added using texture tools, additional detail was added with oil pastel, then the entire board was coated with gloss medium. Squares of cardboard were added to the surface, then students began sewing the warp string through the cardboard squares and began weaving. Beautiful work fifth graders!
