Unquowa students have joined the movement known as an “Hour of Code,” an initiative started two years ago globally to expose students to coding. Students have enjoyed working with code so much that we have made this much more than just an hour of coding. Over the last few weeks, sixth, seventh and eighth graders have been exploring the use of code to do programming in various areas with computers. With the use of Chromebooks, we have been exploring great resources available to learning about animating with coding, the fundamentals of HTML with website design and some have even dabbled in higher level coding! Coding continues to grow and students see the tie-ins to their daily math classes which reinforces their learning. Great job, sixth, seventh and eighth graders!
