As part of the seventh grade unit on India, students studied both that country and the countries that create the Indian perimeter. Their investigation included a cultural study with the unique opportunity to speak with a class of students from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute for Educare in Chennai, India. Their video chat conversation gave both our students and the Indian students the opportunity to exchange information focusing on the differences and similarities in their cultures. Students learned a great deal and gained an appreciation of each other.
