Platero y Yo!!!
Posted by Isabel TapiaFirst graders learned different kinds of adjectives and how they change in Spanish according to the gender of the person they describe. To help reinforce these concepts we read Platero y Yo by Juan Ramon Jimenez, a famous Spanish writer. Then, they were challenged to describe Platero, who is a sweet donkey and the writerโs best friend. The students loved the story. Finally, they drew Platero using phrases such as: suave como el algodon (soft like the cotton), dulce como la miel (sweet like the honey), etc. Great job first graders!!!
