(Play)Bill of Rights
Posted by Ariel Warshaw8th grade Humanities students have been exploring American founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the US Constitution. To reinforce their understanding of the Bill of Rights, students were paired off and randomly assigned two of these first 10 amendments. They were then charged with acting these out – silently! – while the rest of class consulted their copies of the Bill of Rights and guessed which amendment they thought was being performed. It was a fun way to support their understanding of each amendment, and the importance of the Bill of Rights as a whole!
