Ponding!
Posted by Faith BarbutoDid you know that ponding is a verb? The kindergarten class learned all about how to pond on our our recent field trip to the Audubon Center. First we saw pond creatures and even got to touch some! Next, we discussed the physical adaptations these creatures have that help them survive as our lovely assistant helped us model them. Finally we were ready to head out to the pond and see what we could find. Armed with nets and field guides, we scooped out water and dug through sludge to uncover many pond creatures! We found snails, insects, lots of eggs, a few tadpoles and even a clam! A fantastic ponding experience was had by all!
