PreK-4 learns about Friendship
Posted by Fiona EckersleyPreK-4 has been talking about friends, friendship and how to be our best selves to help others these first two weeks of school. We have made “warm fuzzies”, tried to stay away from “cold spikeys” and thought about what it means to be a good friend to others. Ms Palm has a blooming Friendship Tree in her classroom and the Friendship Chain has been started in Ms. Eckersley’s room…..we hope by the end of the year to circle the whole room!
On Thursday, the two classes worked together to make Friendship Bread. We cut up the dough and mixed it with the sugar and cinnamon before placing it in the pan. Ms Palm melted some butter and poured it over the whole thing before it was baked by Chef Jessica in the oven for us. What a lovely surprise at snack time on Friday when we were all able to get together and eat our delicious bread. It looked, smelled and tasted great! Even better because we had made it together.
