PreK Kindness
Posted by Faith BarbutoThis year we took a time honored tradition of putting kindness cards on the cars in the parking lot to new levels! Inspired by a note we got back in return from a 5th grade teacher, we wrote notes to our new 5th grade reading buddies. When Kindergarten so generously invited us to share their community bread, we relayed their kindness with making more cards! We were thrilled to find lovely cards in our cubbies that our 5th grade buddies wrote back! Just like that a small ripple of kindness had come back to fill our buckets. To spread our kindness outside our school community we sent kindness cards to the veterans hospital. I shared a photo of my dad, a Vietnam vet, and the story of how touched he was to receive a card from a child when he was at the Veteran’s hospital. Sharing kindness and filling buckets will continue to be a part of our curriculum all year and we are excited to be off to such a great start!
