Schoolhouse Rock
Posted by Megan KirkMr. Stone, one of the original writers of Schoolhouse Rock, and Adam and Zander’s grandfather, met with sixth through eighth grade students in the dining room to show a documentary on the making of Schoolhouse Rock. It showed the students one of the main songwriters and how he came up with many ideas for the famous songs. The students were tapping their toes and quietly singing along to many of the songs! Then Mr. Stone answered some questions the students had prepared for him. We found out that each song is typically 2 minutes and 58 seconds, and that his all time favorite character is Bill from “I’m just a Bill.” He also gave us some advice as we prepare to put on our musical. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you Mr. Stone!
