Is our brook clean and healthy? Well the 6th grade aims to find out. Once every month from September – June students will be testing the water from the brook. The tests include air and water temperature, turbidity, ph, dissolved oxygen and salinity.
This study is a pilot program that will continue year after year. The data collected will help us determine the health of the stream and any positive or negative trends that might occur seasonally. If you want to know what some of those terms mean, just ask a 6th grader!
