Seventh Grade Writers Inspired by History
Posted by Michelle LambAfter reading two historical fiction novels, Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse and For Freedom by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, seventh grade students wrote their own fictional pieces inspired by a time in history. There are a wide range of topics students have selected that include The Hundred Years’ War, The Battle of Iwo Jima, The Challenger, 9/11, and the war against terrorism. Students researched, planned, and composed their stories, and they look fantastic! Ask seventh grade students to tell you about their stories.
