Sixth Graders Visit Throne Room and Worm Hole, Natural Wonders
Posted by Craig KnebelAt the bottom of Tory Cave lie wondrous karst formations: water cut mable curtains and mud tubes. The sixth graders braved a narrow sinkhole entrance to explore Earth Science up close. A large central chamber was the site for the telling of the story of the Tory that may still haunt Torie’s cave. Lower level explorations brought students to the tight formation called Worm Hole and the former waterfall cut Throne Room. Back outside students had the opportunity to make their own arrowheads and carving flints under the guidance of an excellent primitive technologist.
