Students in fifth grade science just completed a unit on Earth and Space. Through investigations the students explored the reason for seasons and the phases of the moons, whats out there besides planets and moons and about different types of galaxies. Instead of simply reading about each planet, the sun, asteroids, comets and moons, each student was assigned a heavenly body to investigate and present to their classmates. Then posters and amazing illustrations were constructed by each student to use as they presented their findings. The process was enjoyed by all and students learned a lot from their peers!
